The Shamanic Journey and the Shaman's Toolkit
This is a beginning point on the path and a good way to begin. Journeying, dreaming and sitting in ceremony is always more powerful and more fun when done in community. Location and fees on request
The
major ceremony a shaman performs is the journey. A shaman goes into
an altered state of consciousness and travels outside of time into
the hidden realms that may be called non-ordinary; or, a parallel universe.
The Australian aborigines call non-ordinary reality the Dreamtime.
The Celtic traditions call it the Otherworld
In these hidden realities there are compassionate spirits who offer their
guidance and their healing help in behalf of all life on earth. One
of the beautiful aspects of the shamanic journey is direct revelation. The
ceremony helps us to part the veils between the seen and unseen worlds and
access information and energies that can help awaken us and restore us to
wholeness.
In this workshop you will learn to journey in an altered state that allows
a free soul to journey into the invisible realms and bring back guidance
and healing. You will create an ongoing spiritual practice from the traditional
shamanic techniques for relating to all creation, including power animals,
nature spirits, the elements, specific landscapes, seasonal weather and the
spirits of those who have left this life.
People new to shamanism can use this as a basic workshop to learn to access
the Otherworld before they continue on to other programmes. Those who want
to take just this class are also very welcome.

Sacred Tools for Conscious Living and Dying
Shamans
learn the ways beyond death and fear by journeying to the Otherworld.
They bring back maps of the life after life and use this sacred knowledge
to heal the living and the dying in their villages, their communities,
their whanau
In this workshop you will learn to make your own journey beyond death, so
that you will know the paths taken by those about to re-enter the stream
of time. You will practice the ceremonies of unwinding and releasing who
you are now, so that you may grow the seeds of who you are becoming. And
you will learn ways to share your maps of the place beyond this life with
your own whanau and community so they may learn to live and to die consciously.
People new to shamanism can use this as a basic workshop before they continue
on to other programmes. Those who want to take just this class are also very
welcome.

Honouring the Earth – Connecting with the Elementals
Shamans
live in a sacred relationship to the Earth. It is a reciprocal relationship,
based on the understanding that everything that is upon the Earth and
the Above is made of energy and that all is woven together in a great,
living web
Whether we take the form of a tree, a stone, a bird, a river, a mountain
or a galaxy, we are all one, woven together. In this workshop you will learn
the sacred ways of tracking beyond the fabric of time and space, to come
into relationship with the spirits of the land, of the power animals, and
of the great archetypes or organizing principles of the universe. You will
meet teachers and guides in many forms. You will practice the ceremonies
of gratitude to the spirits of the Earth and connect with the Web of Life.
You will reach the place where, when you call, spirit comes. And when spirit
calls you, to bring balance to your whanau or community, or to the Earth
itself, well; then you will come.
People new to shamanism can use this as a basic workshop before they continue
on to other programmes. Those who want to take just this class are also very
welcome.
